Where passion builds community.
At Woodstock Soccer Project, we’re redefining what it means to play the game. More than just soccer, we’re a movement built on teamwork, belonging, and local pride — creating spaces where every player can dream, grow, and shine.
Our story starts with something simple: just a desire to get our kids outside, playing with friends, and falling in love with a game that can change lives. What began as a way to burn off energy turned into a deep-rooted passion: my kids discovered the joy of soccer, the beauty of the game, and the friendships formed on the field.
Fast forward to today, and that spark has grown. I’ve followed the U.S. Soccer national coaching path and earned my Class C national coach license, with plans to go even further. I’ve coached competitive teams, guided my own kids through recreational leagues, and seen firsthand the challenges our community faces.
One of the biggest hurdles is simply space. Woodstock doesn’t have enough soccer fields where our kids can truly learn, play, and grow in the game. Unlike other sports, soccer is for everyone — any age, any background, and it doesn’t require expensive gear or special conditions. Yet we’re missing the lit fields and open spaces that other sports enjoy.
That’s why I created the Woodstock Soccer Project. It’s our way of bringing the community together to build something lasting — not waiting for someone else to do it, but taking action as neighbors, parents, and players. We want to create fields where kids can play under the lights, learn the game, and grow a love for soccer that lasts a lifetime.
This is our vision: a community-led project that ensures every child has a place to dream, play, and belong.
Why We Exist
Our story began with a simple goal — to give kids in Woodstock a place to play, grow, and connect through soccer.
The Spark
What started as a few practices in a crowded park became a dream to create fields where everyone could belong. Local parents, coaches, and players came together, sharing stories of missed opportunities and overcrowded schedules. We realized our community deserved better — not just for today's players, but for generations to come.
The Challenge
Our community loves soccer, but we face a shortage of lit, safe fields for training and matches. Young athletes often travel miles to find open space, and evening practices are impossible without proper lighting. This isn't just about convenience — it's about access, equity, and ensuring every child has the chance to play the sport they love.
The Vision
We're building a sustainable, community-led project that ensures every child has a place to play under the lights — no matter their background. Over the next five years, we'll construct new fields, install state-of-the-art lighting, and create inclusive programs that bring families together. This is more than infrastructure; it's about building a stronger, more connected community through the power of sport.
