FAQs

We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions.

We have gathered answers to frequently asked questions regarding our plans, facilities, and programs.

  • Every dollar directly supports the development of new soccer fields, lighting, and maintenance within the Woodstock community. Funds are also used to provide safe equipment and improve access for youth programs and local schools. Transparency is our priority — we’ll share progress updates and field milestones on our website and social channels

  • Absolutely! We welcome community members, parents, and local businesses to get involved. You can help by volunteering during events, joining field clean-up days, or sponsoring equipment and uniforms. Use our Contact page to tell us how you’d like to contribute.

  • Our mission is part of a 5-year plan to build and light multiple fields across Woodstock. We’re currently in the fundraising and planning stage, with construction updates shared publicly as soon as they begin. Stay tuned by subscribing to our newsletter for progress reports.

  • Not at all. Anyone from surrounding towns who shares our love of soccer and community is welcome to participate, volunteer, or support.

  • There are many ways to get involved:

    • Players: Join our youth development events or small-sided tournaments.

    • Parents & Community Members: Volunteer or help with field projects.

    • Students: Apply for the Youth Advisory Council or join our media team to cover local soccer stories.

    • Businesses: Sponsor a field project, community event, or youth program.

  • The project is led by a three-member Adult Board — including the President, Community Engagement Director, and Development & Fundraising Director — supported by a Youth Advisory Council of local students. The Youth Council helps lead community communication, school engagement, and student media projects to give teens a voice in shaping the future of the game.

  • We organize three main community initiatives:

    1. Youth Development Training — Hosting skill camps, referee certification sessions, and coaching clinics with support from U.S. Soccer and Illinois Youth Soccer Association.

    2. Community Field Investments — Building and improving local soccer spaces, like target walls and small-sided courts, to make play more accessible.

    3. Volunteer & Outreach Programs — Connecting local players, parents, and businesses to volunteer opportunities and service projects that strengthen our soccer community.
